These works, considered as masterpieces for solo violin, blend the spiritual dimension
and great technical virtuosity.It is one of the rare versions played on a Baroque violin
(gut strings, curved bow...).When writing these sonatas and partitas, Bach faced the
challenge of writing a polyphonic work for a monodic instrument.
